Filming in Westwood Village

The City of Los Angeles contracts with FilmL.A. for permit coordination services for the City. FilmL.A. accepts applications for permits to film within the public right-of-way, including City parks and facilities.

Submit all film permit applications directly to FilmL.A. through their Online Permit System at www.filmla.com at least 5 business days before the first day of filming. For more information, please contact FilmL.A.’s Production Planning Department at (213) 977-8600.

The Westwood Village Improvement Association is a California Nonprofit 501(c)3 charitable organization that works to make the Westwood Village the best possible place to live, work, and play. The WVIA is pleased that you chose Westwood Village as the location for your filming or event.

Production companies are required to contact the Westwood Village Improvement Association (WVIA) in order to film in the Village. Please contact our Marketing and Communications Manager, Megan Furey at (310) 470-1812 or megan@thewestwoodvillage.com.

Maintaining a clean and safe district requires significant resources and funding. While there is no fee for filming within our boundaries, the WVIA respectfully encourages you to make a contribution to help us keep our district welcoming and attractive, so it can remain a thriving and inviting place for everyone. Please contact info@thewestwoodvillage.com for more information.
