The Westwood Village Maintenance Program operates seven days a week and provides a clean environment for all District visitors and merchants. District programs include: picking up trash and debris, removing graffiti and flyers, returning shopping carts to their place of origin, cleaning trash cans, benches, and other infrastructure, and regularly pressure washing sidewalks.
The Westwood Village Improvement Association manages many maintenance projects in the District, including: median landscaping, District tree trimming, LED tree lighting, and other infrastructure work. The WVIA also coordinates with the City of Los Angeles to ensure proper local departments are aware of the conditions that are beyond the capacity of the WVIA to repair or correct.
The WVIA provides frequent pressure washing throughout the district. In 2018/2019, WVIA team’s pressure washed over 2,300,000 square feet of sidewalk.
