Broxton Plaza in Westwood Village is open!

This new, car-free community space on Broxton Avenue between Kinross and Weyburn offers a vibrant spot for strolling, dining, and outdoor events—right next to UCLA and the future Metro D Line station.

Daily activities include large games, al fresco dining, and pop-up events. To enhance its charm, Broxton Plaza will soon feature a street surface design in the shape of a “pinwheel.”

What is the Broxton Plaza?
A plaza is a public open space closed to vehicular traffic. The Broxton Plaza will feature a patterned street treatment, large planters, tables, chairs, games, and weekly activations. Located on lower Broxton Avenue between Weyburn and Kinross Avenues, it will repurpose the street space into a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly area for events, outdoor dining, and activities. This transformation supports local businesses and enhances the street’s appearance, improving the quality of daily life in the area.

Where is Broxton Plaza located?
Our new pedestrian plaza, Broxton Plaza, is located along the lower part of Broxton Ave (between Weyburn and Kinross).

Can I set up a picnic?
Outside food and beverages are allowed. This is a public space for all! Alcohol is not permitted. Enjoy local Westwood Village eateries!

Are pets allowed?
Dogs are welcome! Please ensure they are comfortable in crowds and kept on a leash.

Is parking available?
Paid parking is available in nearby garages and lots. Park at 1036 Broxton Ave and the first 2 hours are free before 5pm, or it is $5 parking after 5pm.

Will emergency vehicles have access through Broxton Plaza?
Yes. A 20′ clearance is required.

We’re thrilled to share a new opportunity for organizations and performers: Broxton Plaza, a brand-new pedestrian-only space in Westwood Village, is now available for events, group meetups, performances, and more!

This car-free plaza offers an open-air setting perfect for club meetings, showcases, and engaging with the community in a high-traffic area. This is a unique chance to utilize public space for free! 

• Reserve the space for meetups, fundraisers, pop-up events, and cultural celebrations.
• Apply as performers or entertainers to bring energy and add to the ambiance at the plaza’s events.
• All events must be free and open to the public.
